Symphonic Choir


The Reine Stimme Symphonic Choir (‘Pure Voice’) is the vocal complex linked to the Accademia della Voce del Piemonte.
It was founded in 2000 by maestro Sonia Franzese who still directs it. It has a staff of 50 singers, fed every year with new insertions.
The result is a body of great vocal and musical ductility and of a vast lyrical, symphonic and sacred music repertoire much appreciated by the italian public and major orchestral formations, with whom he collaborates regularly.
The Reine Stimme Symphony Choir has collaborated since its origins with La Nuova Arca and the Accademia della Voce del Piemonte. Among the operatic productions of the Academy in which he participated: La traviata at the Museo del Cinema in Turin, L’italiana in Algiers at carignano in Turin and giacosa in Ivrea; Il trovatore in Sociale di Soresina, L’elisir d’amore, Don Pasquale, Didone e Enea, Don Giovanni directed by Claudio Desderi, Carmen, Rigoletto with Leo Nucci, La sonnambula, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Tosca, La bohème, Madama Butterfly, Cavalleria rusticana in Teatro Superga. He participated with the Brixia Sinergy Orchestra at the Brescia Sacred Music Festival and held the concert “Il Sacro nell’opera” for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.


The Reine Stimme Symphony Choir has been taking part for years in the award ceremony of the International Arca d’Oro Italia Sapere Aude Award, organized by the Accademia della Voce del Piemonte.
For sacred music he has in repertory among other things the Gloria by Vivaldi, the Mass K 427 and the Requiem K 626 by Mozart, the Stabat Mater and the Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini, the Mass by Requiem by Verdi.
The Reine Stimme Symphony Choir carries out an intense artistic activity in Italy and abroad. He is present at «Opera estate» on Lake Garda and at «Opéra de Chambre de France» in Menton. In 2010 he performed Mozart’s Requiem at Castel Gandolfo conducted by Claudio Desderi for the fifth anniversary of the Pontificate of Benedict XVI, broadcast worldwide by Vatican TV. In 2015 she participated in the concert of popstar Mika at the Teatro Sociale in Como, conductor Simon Leclerc. In 2016 he spoke on two dates of the show «Italia, un sogno»staged at the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and at the Fraschini in Pavia by the English director John Pascoe, protagonist the tenor Vittorio Grigòlo (2016).
In 2017 he participated in the concert-event «Orvieto4ever» with Andrea Bocelli. Also with Bocelli was twice the official choir of the exclusive event organized by the tenor in Lajatico (Pisa): at the 12th edition the gala with Bocelli, Leo Nucci and the étoile Carla Fracci under the direction of Marcello Rota; at the 13th the staging of Andrea Chénier with Bocelli, Vladimir Stoyanov and Sabina Cvilak directed by Steven Mercurio.
In July 2018 the Reine Stimme Choir is present with the Cameristi della Scala at the Festival International de Musique Symphonique in El Jem, Tunisia. In the 58th edition of the Sanremo Festival he accompanied the trio Il Volo. In December 2018 he participated with the Cameristi della Scala at the 29th edition of the KPMG concert-event in the Milan Cathedral.
The choir has performed numerous world premiere compositions for the Accademia della Voce del Piemonte. Among these, at Palazzo Reale in Turin, the opera La matassa e la rosa by the composer Luciano Vavolo, starring the actress Pamela Villoresi. The Choral Symphony Halevi by American Arnold Saltzman for the direction of Jeff Silberschlag. And in 2019 the cantata for soloists, choir and trio of guitars David and Bathsheba by the Norwegian Gisle Krogseth, conducted by Sonia Franzese.
